It almost ended up in the trash due to production errors, but with a little love and craftsmanship, we breathed new life into the DENIM JACKET. The superfluous buttonhole was provided with our signature paracord and our credo "GO **** IN THE WOODS" in water-based colors now adorns the inside of the new denim jacket.

Until now, we only knew the subject of "disposing of new goods" from media reports. Online retailers destroy their returns and slow sellers in large quantities because processing the packaging would no longer be lucrative. But even the clothing industry cannot absolve itself of such waste of resources, as we learned from the example of a denim jacket.

Because it too almost ended up in the garbage because it was declared not for sale due to production errors, such as a forgotten breast pocket, a missing buttonhole and incorrect size labeling. With a little love and manual work, we finally breathed new life into the very beautiful model so that she can still find her way to her new owner. The buttonhole in the pocket flap was quickly stitched and is now closed with a simple paracord knot, the size labels have been exchanged and re-sewn in together with our labels. Last but not least, the NEONOW team from Stuttgart helped us to print our credo "GO **** IN THE WOODS" on the inside of the jacket with water-based inks. Incidentally, a matching "GSITW" patch is supplied with every order, which can then be sewn on as you wish or used in other ways - three more patch motifs will soon be available in the shop for all JECKYBENG fans.

For JECKYBENG it was and is a very interesting, albeit novel project that was only made possible with the permission of the brand – for whom the jacket was actually intended. Great respect at this point for this forward-thinking decision, because, as always, it's not about raising your finger, but working together on new approaches and sustainable solutions.

The result is a jacket that lacks nothing - apart from a second breast pocket - but hey, none of us are perfect!
