Winner of the German Sustainability Award

We won the German Sustainability Award in the “International” category!

Since 2008, the German Sustainability Award has been presented primarily to companies that have made their business model sustainable. The annual, non-monetary award is presented by the German Sustainability Award Foundation in cooperation with the federal government, municipal associations and business associations.

For the first time, the German Sustainability Award was also presented in the International category. The award was given for the collaboration between the textile companies Jeckybeng from Berlin and HerMin Textile from Taiwan, which operate a joint laboratory for the functional properties of sustainable textiles. Resource-saving materials and fabrics for a circular strategy are to be developed there.

OUR PARTNER HERMIN TEXTILE

We are delighted that our long-term partner and innovative fabric supplier HERMIN TEXTILE was also recognized with this award. Without the trust and incredible work of the Taiwanese team, a project as complex as "The NATURAL LABORATORY" would not be possible.

THE NATURAL LABORATORY

The focus of the collaboration with HERMIN TEXTILE is the development of environmentally friendly and sustainable production methods as well as new ways to produce fabrics more efficiently within the framework of a circular economy. To this end, we have founded a sustainable laboratory together with our partner called " The Natural Laboratory " to transfer functional properties to sustainable textiles. The aim is to use resource-saving materials and fabrics for a circular strategy for our brand and the entire textile industry (open source models).

Dominik and Thomas accepted the award on behalf of the Jeckybeng team at the awards ceremony in Düsseldorf. After the big surprise and the unplanned appearance on stage, the evening was duly celebrated with many great guests
