Vacchetta is a special type of vegetable-tanned cowhide. It is manually tanned in barrels using oak bark and chestnuts according to a centuries-old tradition, naturally dyed throughout, and refined with a mixture of natural waxes and oils.
Thanks to this particularly gentle manufacturing process, the leather retains many of its original properties, becomes increasingly supple with use, darkens under the influence of UV radiation and develops an individual patina.
Our partner Glein sources the leather from a tannery founded in the 1970s in Santa Croce sull'Arno, Tuscany. We use only European raw hides, which are a byproduct of the food industry.
Made from high-quality, vegetable-tanned cowhide, it develops a beautiful patina over time and becomes increasingly supple.
Leather that lives with you
care instructions
The leather is oiled in the tannery and is perfectly prepared for use. Daily handling of the wallet automatically oils the leather and requires no further care.
Uncoated leather develops a strong patina over time. The lighter the original color, the more pronounced the patina will be. Scratches or stains are part of the process and will soon become less of a problem as they blend in. This natural aging process makes uncoated leather very robust, durable, and easy to handle.
