Waxed organic cotton fabric
It consists of extra thin and long cotton fibers that are woven with a very tight and traditional weaving technique. When dry, the fabric opens its pores to breathe. When wet, the cotton fibers swell, sealing the fabric and making it waterproof.
We replaced the bionic water repellency with a permanent wax coating containing a blend of German beeswax and carnauba wax. Best of all: The fabric does not have to be re-waxed and has a water column of 1500mm.
