As two very ordinary, landlocked surfers from Berlin Richard and Sebastian are surfing the Norwegian Arctic Circle in winter. An adventure road trip in a camper van to the only remaining European wilderness in Central Europe.
We equipped the two guys with THE JACKET, Surf and Snowboard Tools as some accessories.
A bit hang over from new year celebration they started towards Kiel taking the ferry to Goteborg.
So stuck for 17 hours on that blinking „cutter“ for the cross over and being surround from the open sea, but still no chance to access it. They were not LANDLOCKED anymore, but BOATLOCKED.
Near Oslo they wanted to go snowboarding but the slopes were closed for several reasons. They were just about to pack their stuff as they met Erik. One of the owner of the ski center. Erik gave them a lift to the top of the resort with a snowmobile.
On Sebastian’s birthday on the 3rd they found a little frozen island and discovered the area. A beautiful place without people and for sure, from now on they believed in trolls and elves.
The roads close to the Arctic Circle are difficult, curvy and icy. Our two friends are a bit exhausted through the cold and the constant alert they are in while driving through the snow with a 6m camper van.
Stranded in a parking space with a tiny motel called Korkstranda they have to wait till the snowfall stops to continue their journey….
